How do I invite someone to collaborate on a case?

Case leads can invite collaborators to join the case at any time.

To invite someone to a case, you'll need to be a case manager inside Vault, and the lead on the case you wish to invite team members to.

To invite someone to the case, follow the below steps

  1. As case lead, select the ‘Invite team’ button

  2. In the pop up screen that appears, now select all users you wish to add to the case

  3. Once you’ve selected all users, select Continue

  4. Now, select the access you’d like to grant them

    1. Editor access: This will give the user the ability to view and update editable sections. It will also allow the user to send messages to the reporter.

    2. Read-only access: This will give the user visibility to read but not update and editable fields in any way.

    3. Personally identifying information (PII) access: will grant the user the ability to see the reporter and/or named offender details. It will also grant them the ability to download the report PDF.

  5. Once you’ve granted access to the users, select Continue

  6. On this next review screen, you’ll be able to review your users and their access level

    1. You will also be able to optionally add a note here. This note will send to all selected users.

Those invited will then receive notification to let them know you’ve added them to the case.
