Our CSV upload feature simplifies your employee directory and user management in Vault.

This article will guide you through the process of importing your Vault user data using a CSV file.

Getting Started

Create your CSV file using our CSV template to guide you.

Please ensure your file contains the following compulsory fields required to complete your upload:

  1. EID: A unique Employee ID. You cannot upload a file with duplicate EIDs.

  2. Email: You cannot upload a file with duplicate emails.

  3. Full Name: No special characters allowed.

  4. Role

  5. Department

  6. Site

  7. Country

Note: There is one optional field, Termination Date (DD/MMM/YYYY), which only applies to individuals who are leaving your organization.

You should populate this field with known employee termination dates, and our system will automatically set those user accounts to expire at 90 days from the termination date.

Importing your Users

Once you've created your file, log in to the Resolution Hub and navigate to Users & Groups > Upload Users in the menu on the left-hand side.

Select Upload CSV, then select the + sign to add your file by uploading the CSV file from your device.

Mapping and Data Hygiene

Before processing your upload, you will be prompted to map your column names to our template column names (should they differ).

If there are additional columns in the file that do not match the columns in the template, you can discard them by selecting the delete icon on the left-hand side.

Once you've confirmed mapping is accurate, select Next. This step will give you an opportunity to review the data and correct any errors. Once any errors are corrected, select Import.

Processing your upload

You will have the option to activate users who are not yet in the system. By default, Vault will send invitations and activate new users automatically. If you prefer to activate them manually at a later date, you can opt to turn this feature off.

Once users are activated, you will also be given the option to deactivate any existing users who were not part of your new CSV file.
